Yes sir. Tomorrow morning, first thing, lest everyone beat me over the head for taking down the Internet.

And one other thing..... What's up with these 2 entries in the SSL VPN IP pool, one of which I cannot edit? I noticed this after the article mentioned above.

So lemme ask a question...... I'm a noob (we all were at some point) so I work incrementally. Once I have something working, I'll hang a backup, so if I go on and screw something up, I can fall back to the last working configuration. So the last thing I was working on before this latest weirdness is this.... Configure…

So we "fixed" this by setting the client route to X0 and the DNS server to 0.0.0.0, and save. Go back in, settings still there (before client route said "no data") Then put in the desired client route and DNS servers, and save. And it took. Sounds like a bug to me.

Hi, Thank you for your reply. Kinda thought it was a firmware issue, although this is very disconcerting when you're a noob. Thought I screwed up again. On hold with tech support now. I'm running SonicOS 7.0.1-5030

Yes, Verizon cell phone over Wifi. The Sonicwall is blocking it, incoming calls go straight to voice mail, incoming texts never arrive. TMobile is unaffected. I've seen a few posts about it.

And what really threw me for a loop was, when you edit the user group and add SSLVPN Services to it, the nice little stylized "S" for SSLVPN access shows up next to it. Whereas if you leave it alone like you're supposed to, the stylized "S" does NOT show up. Well, Ignore The Stylized "S". It's what's under the SSLVPN…

So BWC had it right, I just didn't see the forest for the trees. Went in one ear and out the other. Credit is due.

Hi, OK, well, this was kind of silly, it was staring me in the face the whole time, but that's how you learn, I suppose..... So to recap, I wanted to limit allowed SSL VPN / Netextender users to only those users who are members of a specific Active Directory group. My first mistake was getting involved with the LDAP…

Was on the phone with tech support for a little over 2 hours. Still not working. When this is resolved I asked them to write a KB article. I'll post back with the details...

I'm just not getting this... I'm going through the settings, and either all LDAP users are getting in, or they all fail to get in. I'm not seeing a way to restrict it based on just one security group. Yes, the group is a member of SSLVPN services. I'm in LDAP Configuration / Test tab, I can do a User Authentication test,…

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I understand conceptually what needs to be done, but I keep getting bogged down in the details. Specifically how to fill out the LDAP configuration tabs. It is importing all the server usernames and groups and allowing everyone one in. The documentation doesn't address how to limit logins to…

Possible complication: Both the PC running Netextender, and the target network, have the same IP address range: 192.168.1.0/24 Even if I give the target PC a static IP, will I be able to send the packet? I've noticed that when I fire up Netextender and connect to the network, I can Remote Desktop to a PC by its FQDN but…

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I'm confused. "WoL using the MAC address will not work" - but the MAC address is required, you cannot send the magic packet without it. The magic packet contains 16 repetitions of the target computer's MAC address. "This requires a static IP for the client" - Why? It's a broadcast. "The magic…
